Since the answer to my earlier question was a resounding “yes” (which, you GUYS, that made me happy) here’s an Englishmajor!Belle and hipster!TA!Beast snippet that will probably be very different and much less terrible in its finished form but I’m almost caught up on Once Upon a Time and I am having pre-emptive Beauty and the Beast feelings that basically amount to Beeeelle, so without further ado:

He’s this scrawny red-headed grad student, can’t be older than twenty-four, with a tattoo of falling rose petals peeking out of his sleeve and horribly thick, black frames around his eyes. Clearly the worst variety of pretentious, and Belle suspects that smirk is permanent, but she’s heard how great Professor Lumiere’s classes are, and she figures he probably asked the guy to scare a few students away from the packed classroom.

She opens her notebook and writes:

TA - Beastly. Also probably has a Moleskine full of terrible poetry somewhere in his room.

Looks smart, though. Sharp eyes.

Could be cute if not an asshole.

…something about Chaucer? Borrow Aurora’s notes later.

She ends up borrowing Cindy’s, since Aurora fell asleep in class.
